Session Details

DETAILS

Once we have set a tentative date for your session, I will send a get-to-know-you questionnaire as well as a welcome packet as a zipped PDF file. Please fill out the questionnaire and email it back to me. Print off, sign and bring the Model Release Form, which is in the welcome packet, as well as your session fee with you to the session.

LOCATION

Where we shoot is entirely up to you. Sessions are done in your home or on-location. Some of the best portraits occur in the places that are most comfortable… your child’s bedroom, your backyard, a favorite park. For a more urban feel, family and child sessions can be held downtown. The possibilities are endless!

AFTER THE SESSION

Photography is a form of art and capturing your images is only the beginning of the process. I choose the best images from your session to be edited, enhanced and included on your CD. Three to four days after your session, you can view a “sneak peek” on the Jen Petty Photography blog and your complete set of images will be ready approximately two weeks after your session.

The images on your CD include an image release that allows you to print the images (and share them with family and friends) up to an 8x10 size. You do not have to pay me an additional print fee per image.

Professional enlargements may be ordered after you select which images you would like to have displayed at a larger size. The prices for these will come in your welcome packet. All enlargements are professionally printed, mounted and sprayed with a UV coating to ensure lasting quality.

Please note that I do not give a full Copyright Release and photos may not be sold or submitted for publishing without written permission.

About Me

My goal as a lifestyle photographer is to capture your life as it happens. I work to capture your personality, not just what you look like. Because it is hard to be yourself sitting on a platform in a cold studio, I specialize in on-location, natural-light photography. In addition, I want having your pictures taken be a fun and memorable experience in itself. By using knowledge of light and composition, you’ll get timeless portraits set in places that have meaning to you. I love capturing how your family members interact with each other and the places around them. Choosing a photographer that reflects your style is an important part of the creation process. If my style reflects how you feel about life, please contact me to get more details about a customized portrait session.
